SGH-I717 seemingly broken

[AC Question]

I just got out my old SGH-I717. When trying to boot it, it will vibrate once, or if you continue to hold the power button, it will vibrate once more. When trying to boot into recovery mode, it just vibrates at approximately half-second intervals. Either way, after giving it some time, the function keys at the bottom light up but do nothing

It is actually turning on, the screen just has no backlight. Is this fixable?
