Why is my voice recognition for text messaging repeating 4 times in a message?

Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge for AT&T and Samsung Galaxy S7 for Verizon (yes two different carriers). Both phones are repeating the voice to text in a text message in the default messaging app 4 times and words are mis-spelled differently each time? Sounds like some weird glitch and this started just yesterday!

Happening to me too on my Nexus 5. Started yesterday after an automatic update.
