S7 Edge Always on Display custom image is way too dim, any way to fix this?

AC Question

So recently I've started using the AOD (Always On Display) on my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and selecting the Custom Image layout. However, no matter which picture I use, it always seems to come out dimmer than the actual date and time and any notifications. This is really annoying as it doesn't have a consistent look across the screen and makes the AOD look really tacky. Is there any way to fix this so that any custom inages I use are of the same brightness as everything else being shown on the AOD?

PLEASE HELP, THIS IS REALLY FRUSTRATING AS I CANNOT FIND ANY SOLUTIONS ANYWHERE ON THE INTERNET.
