Audio recording app didn't record

[AC Question]

I was using the audio recording app on my galaxy s7 for a long recording. I have used before and after with no problem. But when I try to listen to this one it shows nothing was recorded when I know that it was on. Can a recording be corrupted while recording?

Welcome to Android Central! Perhaps the secondary mic was blocked. Do you have a case on? Can people hear you on speakerphone?
