Can I change default "types" for phone numbers when entering new contacts.

Identification types on S6S are MOBILE, HOME, WORK, WORK FAX, HOME FAX, PAGER, OTHER, CALLBACK, + ability to create a custom type.

I would like to change types to HOME, OFFICE, TOLL FREE, WORK, CELL, PAGER, WORK FAX, CALLBACK, + ability to create a custom type.

Default type is MOBILE, change it to HOME

Yes you can. The device doesn't know if you have a mobile or landline, you can label the number as you want. My landline numbers are called mobile at times to ease the hands free car kit operation...
