None of my widgets are updating, including Google widgets such as my calendar. I uninstalled and reinstalled and nothing - the widgets don't refresh. Why is Samsung such a pain to deal with after Android updates?

Welcome to Android Central! Have you already tried wiping the cache partition? https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-30240

I have the same thing happening, must not be a widespread issue because this is the only other instance I have seen on the web.

I've tried just about everything except for a factory reset, including wiping the cache.

FWIW flushing the cache partition worked for my problem with my Samsung S7 Edge that was just upgraded to Android 7 (Nougat). The Google widget wasn't working properly before I flushed it, and now it's working perfectly.
