App permission needs screen overlays off

[AC Question]

Trying to allow apps to use contacts asv. But then app permission says i need to switch of the screen overlay and when i try to switch of or on nothing happens then i go back and it asks the same thing......i got s6

the permissions dialogue isn't allowed to appear when there's an overlay app over it(privacy concerns to prevent tapjacking and not to allow unwanted apps to access permissions).
so you should disable the overlay setting then give the app the permission you want.

You need to find the app acting as the overlay and turn it off. The common apps are
screen dimmers (Lux, Twilight)
sliding trays and menus
many apps by Cheetah Mobile
