Welcome to Android Central! The Android Device Manager app doesn't need to be installed on the phone in order for it to be located by the Android Device Manager service. (The app is only if you want to use the phone to locate another device.)

Are you saying that if you log into ADM on your desktop browser and look for that phone, it tells you "Location Unavailable"? Is the phone connected to the web?

It's in the website. It shows the mobile but not the location. The message "location unavailable" and I can't use the remote either.

The phone is connected to the web via mobile data or wi-fi, right? On the phone, go to Settings>Security>Device Administrators, and make sure ADM is checked on.

Hmm, not sure what's going on. Is Location set to High Accuracy or Battery Saving? Although that shouldn't matter.

Does it work in Safe Mode? http://howtosafemode.com/1740/how-to...-pro-lite-dual

Sorry, I'm not sure what else to try at this point aside from a factory reset.
