My Asus tablet with detatchable keyboard stopped responding to screen touch.

I can navigate using keyboard pad or arrow keys but no response touching the screen. I am using Android version 4.4.2

Welcome to Android Central! Which tablet? Does it happen in Safe Mode as well? On most Android devices, while powered on, press and hold Power until the Power Off menu appears. Press and hold the Power Off selection until the Safe Mode prompt appears. Tap OK.

If it happens in Safe Mode, then the digitizer has probably failed, and would have to be replaced.
