Noticing many apps on new BLU phone under show system in apps. Don't know if they are needed for my phone to work properly. What does this fota provider do?

FirmwareOverTheAir. Mit of Chinese phones have this pre installed. Most think it's malicious, sending your data to China. Usually can't uninstall without rooting, but can be disabled.
