How to put on speakerphone from the dialer during a call

Using Nougat 1.0. I don't always use speakerphone, but sometimes during a long call I'd like to put the phone of speaker. If I use the dialer, there seems to be no way to get back to the initial screen, where you can choose speakerphone. All that's available during a dialed call seems to be the option to hangup.

It's a Motorola Nexus 6 running Android 7.0

Are you seeing the dialpad? If so, tap the X at the upper corner of the dialpad. That should minimize it, and you can then see the other options.

I am trying to use the phone loudspeaker during the phone call on Motorola Nexus 6, Android 7. The dialer of the old version of Android did provided this option by pressing loudspeaker icon.
Yet B. Diddy suggests to tap X at the upper corner of the dailpad.
Can you be more specific. How do I tap X, or anything else at the upper corner?

That may apply if you have a separate menu that contains the speaker icon. Most phones will have that available once you take the phone from your ear. If you don't see it, then there would be a way to change to another menu.
