why is my blu vivo xl not responding when i turn it on?

i had this phone for about 8 months and yesterday i powered my phone off and put it in the charger and left it plugged all night long. When i woke up and tried to turn my phone on(while it was still plugged in the charger), it didn't respond but when i unplugged it and tried to turn it on again, it vibrated and the bottom half of the screen flickered in white and returned to black.

Welcome to Android Central! Unfortunately, that sounds like a hardware failure. See if you're able to boot into Safe Mode: How to turn on safe mode on Blu Vivo XL. If not, is the phone still under warranty?
