Long messages don't display post-update, Galaxy S7

[AC Question]

Ever since the new update, I haven't been able to view long text messages through the native text messaging app. Instead it gives me a "View all" option that opens the rest of the message in a separate window.

I've gone through all the settings looking for a way to change this but can't find anything! This update has been very annoying.

You have just joined the very long list of users who hate that new feature.

From what little attention I have given the topic, since my phone is not updated yet, the only "work around" at the moment seems to be to install a different texting app.
