I want to use my own domain as both my personal and business email address.
I have two options if i want to use Google.

G Suite - £6.60 a month 1tb storage, own domain, great support, limited google fun/ no google assistant

Regular Google account - £7.99 a month 1tb all the new google fun apps. I can use a regular gmail account and add my domain email address as an alias and send and receive to that email through gmail.

My hang up with G suite is whenever Google releases anything cool like Google Assistant G suite users miss out.

Which one should i choose? I want to store everything on one, files, photos etc

You are not restricted to a single account on your device. I have a Gmail account and 2 G-Suite accounts syncing on my phone and it all works just fine. Switching which account you're looking at in each is easy (and done in the same manner on ALL Google apps.

So your only real decision is which account you want to use for your storage...

There are very few apps that won't work on the G-Suite accounts. The big one - for me - is Project Fi, you can't link a Fi account to a G-Suite account. Otherwise, they are nearly comparable.
