Cannot move files from computer to sd, but can copy from mobile to sd

I'm trying to move some movie files to my sd card. I have a galaxy s5, so I plugin my phone to the computer, choose transfer files" and try to copy/paste them on to my sd card.

The problem is it only lets me move one or two files, after that it gives me a" cannot move file" error.

When I download movie files from my google or mega, it lets me add however many. I have a 32gb micro sd, and from mega, I downloaded 10gb worth of tv episodes, but adding only two shows from my computer totaling only 3gb, I get the error.

Any ideas?

Welcome to Android Central! The SD card could be corrupt, defective, or counterfeit. Install SD Insight to see if the card is genuine or counterfeit. Counterfeit cards are programmed to report more storage than they actually have, and if you try saving more than the card can actually hold, then files can start getting corrupt.

If it's a valid card, then go to Settings>Storage, Unmount the card, remove it, and insert it into your computer. Can the computer read these files?
