Kies has stopped on Samsung galaxy 4 no dada. How do I fix.

Son gave us Samsung Galaxy pro 1547. We noticed that all At&T software updates stopped. We wanted to stay with Straight Talk, and phone works great. Just want to fix kies so we can add jelly bean 4.2.

Welcome to Android Central! Carrier-specific phones typically need to be on that carrier's network in order to receive the official OTA update. You could try bringing it to a local Best Buy and see if they can help flash the update.
