why is my samsung galaxy note 5 saying that i need to enter a new password

my phone keeps saying " server password has changed. enter the new password .
but its on my phone i don't have a new password for it

I've been getting same message for a few weeks as well. Verizon email is a POS. Googled it but nothing has changed on my end. Incoming and outgoing server info, passwords, nothing has changed but this email is not working. Note 5 running Nougat.
