Can I replace only touch panel without replacing the whole screen?

One day the area where the navigation bar is, stopped touch responses (on the bottom of the screen) on moto x style xt1572. The reason is that I dropped it. The screen looks good and don't see any of the signs of damage (no dead pixels or spots or blurring)... So I wonder if I could replace touch panel without replacing the whole screen...

Usually they're separate entities, the LCD and the digitiser...
