So... What's Up With the WiFi Chip Bug?

A

AC Question

I came across a post regarding security issues with the wifi chip for both iOS and Android. But I am not finding any info on what to do if you have an Android.

Does anyone have any details on what are the next steps?

Thanks.

Google April security update already patched this, so that's pretty much your only choice. Also, this is just for Broadcomm chips, so while wildly popular, if your phone doesn't use this brand for its WiFi chip, it's not vulnerable to this particular exploit.

And I guess I forgot to say that these vulnerabilities, while very real and potentially dangerous, are not as widely used and/or available to hackers as these articles might make it sound sometimes (remember that the more alarming they make it sound, the more clicks they get!).
