Microphone shuts off when using voice to text.

After a recent (April, 2017) system update to my Samsung S7, when I try to use voice to text , for instance TRYING TO WRITE THIS, (ahem, excuse me...) I can only say a couple words before the microphone shuts off.
The problem is with my email and my calendar and text... everything. Sometimes it won't even catch two words before shutting off.
Help, please?!

Hi. Thank you for your reply. So, I couldn't get into safe mode so I just took your hint instead and uninstalled my voice recorder app. Now the voice to text works just fine. Thank you for your help!

My wife had the same problem (Galaxy S7), and here is what I did (if I remember right) to solve it:

1) Go to Settings, then Apps, then select S Voice
2) Tap Permissions
3) Toggle the microphone setting (if enabled, disable; if disabled, enable)
4) Exit Settings
5) Try the app that was giving you problems before, such as Messages
6) Set the permissions for microphone in S Voice back to whatever you want

Software glitch I'd say ... but the above worked for me.
