iPhone charger

[AC Question]

Last night I accidentally threw my charger in water and heard it but thought it landed on the floor and this morning I saw it in water and it was all scratched up and blackish, I cleaned it up but it won't work, show I let it dry off, will it ever work again!!?

My own judgment, for what it's worth, is that it would best to recycle it and buy another.
