I installed an update on my Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and it installed some random dutch apps?

AC Question

Hi everyone,

So I received an update last night (first one in ages) and installed it but now I have 3 weird new apps on my phone. The apps are:

- MyBoard
- Essen bestellen
- Zolando

I thought that I might have downloaded a virus so I panicked and reset my phone to factory settings. When the phone turned on again everything was in Dutch and those 3 apps are still on my phone??? Any suggestions as to what I should do? My phone is a Samsung Galaxy Note 2.

Thanks

Welcome to Android Central! Where did you originally get the phone from? What's the exact model number? If you didn't get it brand new from your carrier, then it may have originally been intended for the Dutch market.

I just received an update too on my Galaxy Note 2.

It's the real deal, if I go in my phone settings, and I check the update, it find a new one.

Which is really weird for a phone that old (had to return my Note 7....)
