Cannot add account to google photos if the account already exists

I setup my phone with one email address. Then I added another email account to the phone. I want to use the second email account for google photos. When I try to change accounts it only gives me an option for the first email account I created. If I tap on add an account it says the account is already on my phone. Do I really have to delete my second account from the phone then re-add it through google photos?

Welcome to Android Central! Just to clarify -- you've added two completely separate Google accounts? Go to Settings>Accounts-Google, and select the second account. Do you have an option there to sync Photos for that specific account?
