How to remove start up pin on mate 9

[AC Question]

Every time I startup or reboot my mate 9 it asks me for the sim pin and start up pin.

I managed to remove the sim pin and now I would like to either:
A) remove all pin requests or
B) use only fingerprint to unlock on reboot/startup.

Can anyone, please, help me?

if you set up fingerprint lock that will be the unlock method

Android will require the PIN when the device storage is encrypted, which is standard on Marshmallow and Nougat. This can not be avoided (for the record, iOS does the same thing on iPhones) and I like that it wants the PIN on reboot, which should make for fewer people forgetting the PIN..
