The hairline crack looks to originate or end where the volume button is located. It runs about 2 to 3 inches down the edge of the screen. The phone has always been kept in sturdy case. I primarily use the samsung rapid charger and occasionally the phone will become warm when charging but nothing too bad. I noticed the crack one day when I was outside in the bright sun light but had the phone display off.
I'm never going to buy another "curved" device if these types of problems keep getting passed off on the consumer. Verizon and Samsung both have indicated that the phone is now "out of warranty" because it is damaged.
There are no other scratches dents nicks or any other external damage. I absolutely baby my phone.
Any idea how this type of stress fracture could occur?
