Disable proximity sensor on moto e ?

Screen goes blank /black and does not function until call ends from other end and does not allow incoming calls in same fashion: screen goes black / blank when attempt to answer.

Welcome to Android Central! Do you have a screen protector or a case on? If so, either of those could be blocking the proximity sensor, making it think it's up against your ear during the call. This would cause the screen to go blank.
