Can i swap a moto g 3 gen rear camera for a moto x pure edition camera?

Hello, the thing is that I have both phones however the Moto g the camera is completely damaged and the moto x some of the pieces still work including the camera. I was wondering if I can change the Moto g's camera and add the better Moto X's camera. Thank you all

Even if it were to fit, I doubt that it would work, because unless they are the same - and so far as I know, they are not - software and hardware would be mismatched. But if you decide to try, tell us what happens.
