My phone cant connect to my pc

A

AC Question

Hi guys,

Unfortunately my phone dropped and the screen isn't working at all which made me research and download sidesync to use my pc as a monitor for my phone (samsung galaxy s6). I've tried to connect my phone to my pc but my pc cannot detect it as a device or driver. There is no issue with the cable.

Any help would be great

The pc will only "see" the phone if it's on.
Not all android devices let you access internal storage by default. Try this, open your settings app and navigate to:

About phone (sometimes About, or About device)-> Software info

Now tap Build number seven times. Go back to your main settings page and open Developer options and enable USB debugging. Now plug your device in to your computer (make sure it's unlocked first) and if prompted, select file transfer on your phone. If your device does have a password set, you need to unlock it every time before connecting, or it won't work. Also: You may need to disconnect, then re-connect your device if it prompts you on what you want it to do when it's connected to your computer. Hope this helps.
