Digitizer is working perfect but the picture has white vertical lines

I dropped my cellphone it was hardly 2 feet and now the touch works excellent like it was but i have white vertical lines in the display. My local repairers say that its the lcd that broke and i can't understand how is this possible. can i fix this as I'm out of my pocket money?

The lcd needs to be replaced.
