Gmail sync help

I've got 2 android phones, an Android table, and chromebook. It used to be that if I read and made changes to my Gmail account on 1 device, it would sync to the others. For example, I receive an email from Joe. I open it and read it on 1 of my phones. I then delete it. But when I go to my tablet, instead of being deleted, it will still show up. In other words my Gmail isn't syncing accross all my devices as it should. I've looked at all my settings, and they seem to be fine. Any help would be appreciated.

I've been seeing a few similar questions this morning. It may be something on Google's side, like a server issue.
