Top 5 Things an Android Newbie Should Know

Hi!

Just got the Galaxy 8. I am new to Android/Samsung and coming from the iOS world. What top 3-5 things do you think a newbie should know? I feel like there is so much flexibility with this system that I'm wondering if I am overlooking some great stuff.

There are many things to learn, android has myriad settings and tweaks and you can customise your device to your hearts content. You can even make it look like an iPhone if you get nostalgic ;-)!
First thing I do is a launcher. Nova is my choice but there are hundreds. I set up my screen, all my devices look exactly the same. You can theme these things a million ways... Go crazy!
Music for alarms and notifications from my own selection..
Next, I go thorough all settings and disable all things I don't want. Kill all permissions to apps I don't use.
Then I install ad blocker (adguard in my case) with a firewall to block any internet traffic I don't want.
That's where I start..
You can fiddle endlessly with Android!
