why is it my sd card not available when i inserted my phone and also in pc?

when i used my phone getting low 0% until stop running "hang" then shutdown, i charge when its full i turn it on. i wondering why my photos, music and app i downloaded is gone, i go to setting to storage then preferred install location set to sd card but is not available. what should i do? please help me if someone who know how to solve this. thank you
