s7 edge showing green light...why?

i have an s7 edge. i was trying to copy 1000 photos at a time to google drive. the phone went off and never showed any sign of getting on. i became nervous. try to restart it by pressing the buttons...but nothing happened. after few hours, it showed green light on top left front. what does it mean?

Welcome to Android Central! Charge it up on a wall outlet for at least 6 hrs, then try pressing and holding Power for 10-15 seconds. If nothing happens, try pressing and holding Power and Vol Down for 10-15 seconds, which will force a shutdown (in case it's frozen on a blank screen). Then try pressing and holding Power for 10-15 seconds again.
