Play All Music on my Phone's SD Card

[AC Question]

I have a 126GB SD Card in it with about 50GB of music files.

When I go into Play Music, I can see my music there and I can navigate into the folder structure to play one of the MP3 files.

I don't really see the option to Play All, Shuffle, Repeat, or any other options.

Sure, I could stream music from one of the online providers, but then I start burning up my data. The FM Player doesn't work at all, presumably because it requires a wired headset for an antenna.

I would really like to play my music. That's what I put it on the phone for, and that was why I bought some nice Bluetooth headphones.

I have a Motorola Moto G Play running Android 6.0.1, but from what I can see this is just an Android issue.

It is the Android "Play Music" that comes with Android 6.

Should I ditch it for something better?

I Use PowerAmp for my local music and then Play Music for music connected to my account. It seems that Play would need a playlist in order to start doing what you would like.
