When two mobiles are synced - what data is shared

My son has synced my phone with his. I've noticed his and my contacts are shared. What else will have been shared please. I've now switched off the sync option but does that mean our shared info will remain oh his phone

Your photo's, contacts and music will be synced. Once synced even if you turn sync off he will have all info when originally synced but nothing after you turn sync off.
