Tmobile S8 outstanding Balance

Thinking about purchasing an S8 online, I checked the esn number and it is showing an outstanding balance. Since Tmobile uses sim cards is it a big deal or will it become a big deal with it having an outstanding balance (assuming that the person doesn't pay the balance off).

This is a very good question. You need to be careful when buying a device with an outstanding balance on it unless it's from someone you can rely on and trust. While initially you can put your t-mobile Sim into the device and use it, if that person were to stop paying on the balance of the device it will eventually go to collections and then the IMEI will get blacklisted. This will make the phone a glorified Wi-Fi only device. If they cannot ensure they will continue to pay the balance down I would tread lightly.
