Availability on the 19th

Does anybody know if these will be available in stores such as Bestbuy on the 19th? I missed all the pre-orders....Worth it to go wait in the morning?

Latest news from asus is that they will be available on the 19th. Although giventhe demand from preorders thermal not be any available that day. Worth a shot though...

I'm pretty sure the only information we have from Asus is that it will be delivered "the week of the 19th." I'm not sure why everyone seems to think it means on the 19th. We're all still guessing here; there's really no information, just conjecture.

I talked to someone at Best Buy today, and they said they're probably not going to have it until next year :/

BB employees usually dont know Jack Shat, and are usually full of shat. I have been told sticks of ddr3 will fit ddr2 no problem, and now that you have a tv capable of 240hz you need to buy this 79.99 HDMI cable because your old tv was 120hz and they are different frequencies. ???? What ? no ! Go back to stocking shelves you dont know what your talking bout moron.
That being said, when I log into my account it says pre-release date is 12/18/2011. See attachment. naturally my info is removed

I spoke with someone at BB also and he said they haven’t received any training material yet on the Prime. I had planned on coming into work late on Monday and going to the store to see if I could nab one. He said to come back Friday to see if by some chance they were on the truck on Friday’s shipment.
He sounded doubtful but since one of the locations I work at practically shares a parking lot with BB, it’s no big deal to go by. It sounds like chances are very slim that they will have some anytime soon but it’s worth a shot.

Whats the best way to find out what store would have it on the 19th. I preordered on amazon but haven't been cancelled so thats good but have no idea when they are going to ship it...... I'm thinking about going to the store and buying it and cancelling amazon if it doesn't ship in time. But I don't know where to look to find out who would have one. Any thoughts?

I just checked my BB order and my order status is exactly like Tropper's, it says to be released on 12/18/11.

I skipped over Best Buy and started calling GameStop. The stores I spoke to are expecting the Prime on the 19th and will begin selling them as soon as they are in stock. I'd recommend GameStop.

Gamestop only has the 32, I really wanted the 64 but if I hope to get it before Christmas at a store they all may only have the 32, I'm not sure what to expect in that reguard.

I check my Amazon order daily, and it has consistently showed delivery estimate of January 5th, 2012. I preordered on 22 Nov.

Mine has no delivery date, it says the following item will be delivered after dec. 25 but above that it says; Delivery estimate: We need a little more time to provide you with a good estimate.

I pre-ordered on Nov. 22 in the AM.

I can't decide that if I can find only the 32gb in store if I should get it and forget about the 64 or hold out for the 64....

^ I'm in the same boat - I'm considering calling GameStop to see if I can still get in on the preorder - but I'll know I'll be stuck with the 32GB model - and from what I understand, they don't even know what color they are getting in (I'm not a fan of the champagne)...

As of this morning - Amazon still shows a January 6th delivery date for me...

I stopped into my local Gamestop yesterday. They had no idea when it was coming out and they said the preordering is all maxed out and they wont have any left over after all the preorders are fulfilled. I said to the guy, wow, you must have had alot of preorders then. He said, our system shows 1 person preordered.

i called my local gamestop and he said they're expecting delivery on the 19th, and they should have them in stores on the 19th. but he said call on the 18th to make sure as nothing is 100%

I got a call about 15 minutes ago (3:45 PM PST) from my pre order Gamestop in the Alderwood Mall north of Seattle. They said they were now coming in on Friday the 23rd. Interestingly they did not say they "should" have them by then, but that they "would" have them by then. Oh well....a couple more days. We shall see.

I dislike how close this is to Christmas, but I am surprised the Seattle area stores are getting them. I should have pre-ordered from Gamestop, but didn't think they would be getting them in our area. I should look into this tomorrow. I have a few games to trade in so that would be helpful!
