Who's getting the grey?
Who's getting the champagne?

I've seen the grey one at a Gamestop and it has slight purplish undertones.

Has anyone seen the champagne one? Is the champagne more gold or silver?

The first one I can get my hands on, whatever color that happens to be. I originally ordered both colors from BB so I could let my wife choose for Christmas, but since it doesn't look like I am going to get anything in time for Christmas, I'll let fate decide.

Going with Champagne... I honestly don't know how Grey is more popular. I saw the Grey in GameStop and it just looked purple to me. I don't necessary like the "Gold" look... but I've talked to some people who seem to think it looks more grey in person than the other one does. I can deal with the lighter color over having it be purple.

i want to see them in person because what i have seen on amazon and other places the "grey" looks purpleish and the "champagne" looks grey/silver. i want which ever one looks grey.

Champagne for me. I agree it is difficult to tell much in the online photos. Just thought this one would be a little more unique and the first couple of reviews that I saw were both done on 32GB Champagne so I thought it might improve my odds of getting one early if they already had some of those out.

I have 32gb Champagne on preorder from BB and 64gb grey from Amazon- whichever comes first, but prefer 64gb Champagne

The Amethyst Grey model has a hint of purple, hence the name Amethyst, which is a purple gem stone. Champagne is a silver with gold hue to it.

FWIW, I just checked out the grey at Gamestop and was a bit disappointed too...can't say I liked the color (it is indeed Amethyst). Weight/size feels good though I think they could have stuck a microUSB connector on it.
so Champagne for me if I can get one before they announce the HD resolution ones to compete w/ the iPad3 :-)

I would have bought the Champagne but Best Buy only had inventory of the Grey... I should be receiving it around the 29th - 3rd Ground mobile Bestbuy site. there is still inventory by the WAY!!!! just ordered about a 30 minutes ago!
