That sucks. I haven't had a single problem with the upgrade.
I'm with digitalslacker. Try a hardreset.

Re: Ics issues!!!
I think mine is slower, and quadrant in not any better than my Droid Razr. About 2,700 not that it means anything, but I was curious because scrolling is slow and I need to swipe almost the entire screen now or it just snaps back.
Oh, and having to switch to performance mode every time is a royal pain too.
And the blank screen after opening a new link and having to swipe the screen up and down is my personal favorite.Last edited by rickc1015; 01-10-2012 at 08:04 PM.

Re: Ics issues!!!
I have not done the upgrade yet because I've been hearing about different issues, yet many are not reporting issues either. I guess I will take the plunge in a day or two (as long as it lets me continue to delay).
Rickc1015, I do not believe the Quadrant program has been updated to properly determine a score in ICS. So, the numbers may not be correct.
For those who have done the update, how much of an issue are you having with third-party apps that you've installed?I choose Android...it's only logical.

Re: Ics issues!!!
I am seeing the above issue in a number of apps. Namely the browser, reader, Gmail I think, tegra zone, market, and possibly more. It's very frustrating to have this issue!
Edit: now that I pay more attention, it's happening on the home screen, and in almost any third party applications is run. Was there any luck running the factory restore?Last edited by gene26; 01-11-2012 at 08:12 PM. Reason: Happening in more apps.

Re: Ics issues!!!
I downloaded Browser Plus from the Market so I could get back the User Agent setting for Desktop mode. I wonder why they removed it?
Other than that, ICS works like a champ on my Prime.Cingular 8125 -> HTC Tilt -> HTC Fuze -> HTC Tilt 2 -> Samsung Captivate -> Samsung GS2 -> Samsung GS3 ->Samsung Galaxy Note 2 - 01-10-2012, 10:24 PM #11

Re: Ics issues!!!
For all the folks that suggested a factory reset... I tried this last night. Once it finished I completed the basic setup and signed in with my google account and within minutes the screen issue started acting up again. Its happening all the time, settings menu, home screen, in browser, in mail, everywhere. Been looking in other forums and I'm not the only one here. Hopefully a fix soon or my beloved Prime is headed back to Best Buy.

Re: Ics issues!!!
I have 4 different clocks displaying 4 different times. I'm set to use system time. Clock in the system tray is five minutes slower than the one that pops up in the notification box. The digital clock widget is five minutes faster, and the analog clock widget is 3 minutes faster. None of them are within 5 minutes of the actual time.

Re: Ics issues!!!
I get that when only my browser is open, and it reboots and only one or 2 windows open in the browser. And its only been happening since ICS

Re: Ics issues!!!
Mine does the the screen thing when trying to watch YouTube videos on web. I also have random uncontrolable reboots after my Prime completely locks up and freezes during apps, web browsing, and sometimes just looking through folders for docks. Cherry on top, my wifi is extra whack. Literally less than 20 feet away and only have two bar signal (the itty bitty ones). I was so fed up I called Asus and they had me do a factory reset which did nothing so now they said to send it in. I think I will just get a different tablet. I waited for over 6 months for this thing, bought it pre order, waited another month, gave my iPad2 to the prewife and now this is whack. I hate Apple and the limits on my ipad2 but at least it freakin worked flawlessly for me except the whole lack of flash business... I thought ICS was supposed to be the savior Android had been waiting for. I guess I'm just fed up...
(Sorry for the rant)

Re: Ics issues!!!
Reef that makes two of us. I was following this thing's release since last July. Bought on pre-order, and fought with Best Buy just to get it in my hands. I was pretty danged happy with Honeycomb, but also stoked for the possibilities of ICS. LETDOWN. I spoke with Asus and they said try a "data wipe" which is accomplished by powering off device and powering it up by holding the down volume button and the power button until a menu comes up. Release, press volume up to choose data wipe and let it go from there. Of course this did not solve my issue either. Now they say RMA it. BAH!
Also to the person who says "there is not enough memory". That is bogus. I used the task manager to "one click clean" as soon as my Prime booted after the data wipe. Opened the browser, got to browse for a few minutes maybe, and bam, whacked out screen again. FML! - 01-14-2012, 10:49 AM #23

Re: Ics issues!!!
I'm actually having the same issues ICS that i was having that I was having on honeycomb (random reboots and apps crashing all the time). I don't know if they did it on purpose, but there shortages they are having might work to their favor. If they had them in stores i would have returned this thing long ago. Has anybody found a fix to these problems by any chance? I had the IPad, galaxy 10.1 and the 8.9. The 8.9 was best so far. I just want this thing to work like that and I will be happy.
