Power button does NOT turn of Prime

My power button will not turn the screen off. Yet it will turn the phone on if it is off and if I hold the power button down it gives me the power down option.

I have only had it for less than a week (already lovin' it), and I have upgraded it to ICS. This has happened to me a day or so ago, too. I have closed out all the programs and that doesn't seem to change anything. A reboot will fix it, but it is irritating to have to do.

I have downloaded a soft button to allow me to turn it off as a workaround, but this is a bit annoying for a new device. App conflict?

Try a factory reset. Seems to fix a lot of people's issues.

I'm having the same exact problem. What is the soft button app you found?
Did the hard reset work?
