Can we stop with the "in stock" threads

People can do a Google shopping search find out who has it. You can even set it up to email you alerts.

I dont mind the in stock updates.. Google shopping isnt always up to date. If someone walks into a store and there are a stack of them.. its handy to know

It gets annoying when every other thread is "this store has them in stock," especially when the tablet is becoming easily available at least in my area.

Use hyperbole much? There are only a handful of such threads, and if you don't like them then you don't have to read them. Seriously, get over yourself.

"in my area", that's the reason for the thread...Duh! So ppl don't waste time and money searching all over.

No kidding. They are not easy to get in my area. I had to drive 40 minutes away to purchase mine. I just happened to check the Best Buy web site and found two stores that had them in stock, one within 40 minutes the other within an hour and a half . That was at 8:30 am so I beat feet to the closet store for opening hoping the web site was lying to me. Come to find out the best buy only had six in stock and there was three of us waiting at the door for them to open. All three of us came for the Prime. They where sold out by the end of the day.

i am still interested in where has them in stock especially the HH Gregg one for 100 cheaper.

that being said i am pretty sure i am going to wait until the next version with a better processor and better wifi.

Thanks to these threads I found out BB had then in stock found out HH Gregg had it for a 100 dollars cheaper and got BB to match there price. I love my Prime and all the forums about it.

So because you have your TF201, there should no longer be threads helping others find a TP which are out of stock in a LOT of places.

Is that correct?

Is it possible for the mods to make a "Where to Buy" sticky for this type of stuff. I find these types of threads very useful when doing my searches. Like another said, Google and other sites aren't always great, but when you combine minds you are almost guaranteed to find a good deal in stock.

FYI...I decided to call another Office Depot in my area for the TF201 keyboard dock despite the website stating no one had it for a 100 mile radius. They got 3 in and by the time I made it to the store, they were down to 2. The manager stated that they get them in and are gone before closing or by the next day. So call despite what the site or stock watch emails say. Just be ready to leave immediately to guarantee you can get one.
