Is it possible to unlock with 4.1.1?

I have a stock Prime and it was upgraded to 4.1.1. There seems to be several ways to root. However, I would like to Rom. My understanding is that I need to unlock the Prime first. Is a Prime with the latest update to 4.1.1 unlockable?

The answer is yes. I followed the instructions here: [How To]TF201 Flash TWRP on Jellybean and Root - xda-developers

I only did the unlock part so far. The rest of the instructions show you how to install TWRP. I'm a little tired so I will attempt that tomorrow.

I went through the rest of the instructions. I am now running Baked. I tried CM10.1 but the screen wouldn't rotate.
