Re: New Firmware Rolling out!
Hopefully this will stop my transformer from kicking all other devices off the internet when I connect it to my home wifi network.
BTW, the updates don't roll out by area. - 09-29-2011, 09:12 AM #5
Re: New Firmware Rolling out!

Got it in Missouri last night. So far, I'm liking it. Responses seem a bit snappier. I'm stress testing the battery today to see if there were any improvements to battery life, and I really like the new Supernote app. Going to have to go get a stylus now...

Re: New Firmware Rolling out!
**** UPDATE PROBLEM ***
Got the update here in the Houston area several days ago and everything seems to work well EXCEPT:
Every time I boot the pad or attempt to access the Firmware Update feature in the settings menu I now get a double dose of the following error:
" The application DMClient (process com.asus.dm) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."
A force close option is provided but I get this same error again in about 10 seconds and then the process seems to shut down.
It would appear that this is the download manager so I will probably be unable to access any future updates. I have sent an email to ASUS via their web site.
Is anyone else having this problem? If so I will advise when I hear something back from my inquiry. - 09-29-2011, 10:57 PM #9
Re: New Firmware Rolling out!
Now I'm really impressed with ASUS. They responded the same day and provided me with the solution I needed. (I should have tried their suggestion but I didn't think of it)
Anyway here is the pertinent part of their reply.
Dear Valued Customer,
Thank you for contacting ASUS Customer Service.
Please try to clear out the DMClient cache and data ( Settings -> applications ->Manage applications -> all ->DMClient).
Then please try to hold the power button down for 10-15 seconds to reboot the device. If the problem still remains, please press Settings -> applications ->Manage applications -> all ->DMClient Force Stop.
If you continue to experience issues in the future, please do not hesitate to contact us. - 09-30-2011, 07:41 AM #10

Re: New Firmware Rolling out!
Mine got stuck on the update. Kept on saying, "check notification bar" for the update and when you went there it wasn't there. This fix helped my problem. So thanks to your post BUNK (and thanks for letting me know it is elsewhere in the forums fldude99).
I really loved ASUS before this device, but this thing and their super customer support has locked me in for life. - 10-03-2011, 06:58 AM #12

Re: New Firmware Rolling out!
The movie maker app still sucks and does not import movies not made on my transformer.
That much I know. But, it is still impressive to see all these updates on an excellent pad. I mean, it isn't like the pad sucked before these updates.
