The title pretty much says it all - anyone have any info or thoughts?

I hope HTC properly integrates their awesome UI, HTC Sense, into ICS before they upgrade their eligible Smartphones to ICS. I'm hopeful they will.

That is great news from the response of the Prime folk. It makes a world of difference. The original Engadget post had been for the Prime to get it beginning on the 12th but they got it beginning yesterday. I hope they are right and we get it within the week.

Any legitimacy to the optimism in this link?

    So far not...

However the ASUS post about midway down on the first page states:
"Hi Gabriel Gab, are you referring to the TF101? If so, it will be getting the update as well tomorrow. Thanks"

That post was by ASUS Singapore and posted 6 hours ago so maybe this afternoon or evening???

    I hope so.

Just looked on the ASUS website and prior to christmas the description for the Transformer it said it would be upgradeable to ICS. As of now that was not on the description for the the Transformer, maybe it won't be getting the update?

I hope it's soon and that it helps smooth out the choppiness. After using my Galaxy S II a while, I used my Transformer and was appalled at how sluggish it was. I guess that's what all Honeycomb tablets are like because when I've touched the Motorola Xoom and Galaxy Tabs at the store, the same lag was present.

I would rather have it later and bug-free.

I would rather have it now and have it perfect later. Once software is out the mfr has pressure to fix bugs quickly - if they sit on it until its perfect you get Samsung's schedule - late to never

And it is NEVER perfect just less buggy. I agree with mknollman123 that once the software is deployed the pressure to fix issues is much, much higher. I just got my TF101 and have quit getting apps because I want to see what/how ICS handles the things I do, then begin looking for apps to fill to void.
