3rd Installment of ICS 4/24/2012
You know the drill...
Who's got it? Who likes it? Who hates it? Who'd rather trade it for an iPad?
Find any unexpected enhancements? Time travel? Teleportation? Free will? Mustard dispensing spout?Last edited by RunOfLuck; 04-24-2012 at 05:50 AM.

I'll let you know as soon as I play with it a bit. Regardless, I would NEVER trade it for an iPad.

After installing the update my homepage acts strange if I touch my asus web storage icon it starts to run them freezes at the startup. I noticed that if I go to my app listing and start the asus web storage from there it works just fine. Also that the screen sometimes gets jittery and it looses the touch control and only responds when I use the mousepad control on my base. I did try replacing the web storage icon on my home screen but the freeze up was still a problem.

Re: 3rd Installment of ICS 4/24/2012
I didn't have much issues with last release of ICS...just reboots but not more than once a week. If this updates resolves that and still works well like the last one, I'll be happy.

Left my transformer on while I was at lunch. When I returned it had apparently booted itself and was frozen on the startup screen. Had to force restart then the screen to unlock was unresponsive. Restarted again and is now working. So far for me at least this update is a disaster.

I assume that those of you with no issues yet have turned off Wake Lock, if you have been using it? I received the update, turned of the wake lock app and had a reboot within a few hours. But I think it might have been kid caused. ha ha. I am still watching it now to see how it does. Nothing today.

I use mine quite a bit and this last update didn't fix anything other than it doesn't spontaneously reboot as often. It was a great device with gingerbread but now I am rethinking purchasing any of the new ones until this one is as stable as it was and had been for almost a year.

Within hours of updating, it went into the loop thing until the battery was nearly dead and I caught it. Great job Asus. You took a great tablet for me and made me question my choice.

Re: 3rd Installment of ICS 4/24/2012
I've had the Sleep of Death every day since the first ICS update. Very frustrating.
But this last update has finally fixed the issue for me. Zero issues so far.
I'm hoping Asus can fix the typing latency I get sometimes with the keyboard dock. - 04-27-2012, 10:39 PM #19

If you have a wireless connection, usually you'll get an ASUS Update notification appear at the bottom right corner of the screen. But if not, you can get the update manually by:
1) Going to your App Drawer
2) Select "Settings"
3) Select "About tablet"
4) Select "System Firmware Update"
5) Select "Check Update" - 04-29-2012, 01:49 PM #25
