Its been about 24 hours since the update for me. One lockup during a game. No reboots or other issues and I used it A LOT just to see if the problems would return. I think they may have fixed the problems for me.

Re: Firmware Update 5/16/2012
The only reason they're updating is because their firmware is broken -- they keep masking the problems with new cute features (like adding face unlock and the system bar lock), while basic apps on my TF101 continue to fail and produce ugly errors (Gmail, music, Angry Birds).
My Galaxy Nexus is on 4.0.4 straight from Google and works great, while the TF101 is on 4.0.3 and runs like crap. This is definitely a YMMV situation, or at least so it seems. - 05-18-2012, 01:33 PM

Re: Firmware Update 5/16/2012
So far I haven't had any rebooting or live wallpaper flickering. I noticed a thread on another site mentioning to do a factory reboot 3x and the a cold reboot. All with the dock plugged in. I had all those issues bbefore however when I updated I did it with the dock plugged in. And so far I haven't had any issues! Hats off to Asus for their updates! I will only buy Asus tablets from now on!

Day 3 with no problems. I think they fixed it for me.

Fixed for me too. No reboots since Wednesday. Haven't had to charge it either. Loving the face unlock!

Re: Firmware Update 5/16/2012
Been about 5 days since I installed the update and I've gone from an unusable device to one that works pretty damn well. Not one reboot. No more strange mangled flashes of the background when I hit the recent apps button. No random gapps force closes. And overall much more fluid then I'm used to. Unfortunately this months-long saga has still pretty much guaranteed that I will never buy Asus again.

My dock is working great. Aside from a few force closes (just a couple since the update) mine is still running smooth.

Re: Firmware Update 5/16/2012
My dock has been charging normally too, although when I woke up this morning, I was in another bootloop. Second one since the update.

The only thing left for me to do is a factory reset, but I'm not sure I want to try that quite yet... - 05-24-2012, 12:14 PM #41
Re: Firmware Update 5/16/2012
Has anyone experienced a battery drop off after the install? I have a full charge on my tablet and dock with no issues with reboots...yet. But i have noticed that when the battery level gets to around 45% left it tanks to zero. In looking at the pretty battery graph it looks like a cliff. It then will take time to charge it back up again. Anyone else seeing this? Thanks.

Settings > Battery. Below where it says how long you have been off charging there is a small graph. Click on it and it expands.
I haven't been seeing a problem on battery life. I had my tablet running Pandora from 7 am till 4 pm and used it a lot in the evening and only went through 1/2 of my dock battery. Doesn't seem that bad to me.

Re: Firmware Update 5/16/2012
I recently bought a used tf101 and was concerned about ICS performance after reading through this thread. I am glad to report that my tablet has been running flawlessly on the current version of ICS. When I bought the tablet the first thing I did was check for updates and then I did a factory reset, just to be safe. I have not had a single app freeze, system reboot or sleep of death, and I use my tablet a lot.
I also picked up a used docking keyboard and it is functioning properly as well. I am loving this tablet!!
