Will this take a 32 gb sd card or is 16 the max?

It can take micro SD 32gb AND if you have the dock attached, you can have additional 32gb of regular SD card. So total you can have 16 + 32+ 32 =80 gb.

I am using 32GB sandisk microsd in my tablet. I have not tried the dock/keyboard sdhc slot yet.

Surprisingly I got it from ebay (usually questionable), from this guy:

I have about 20GB on the card, so I expect it is a good one. It looks all official with a serial number, etc.

i'm waiting for a pny 16gb class 10 card to arrive in the mail from newegg. hopefully the thing will work in my transformer

It says "100% genuin" so it must be official.

I see a lot of off brand micro sd cards that are 32 gb for really cheap. As long as its a micro sd card it will work?

Huge risk. Sometimes works, sometimes not, and sometimes fails at various times, e.g. removal, errors, etc. I am going with Sandisk Class 4 because they are very high quality and fast. I took my gamble on ebay, which I do not recommend if you need 1st-time-success. There are lots of fakes and you have to actually copy up to 20-30GB onto them to verify they are real.

Sandisk class 4 are one of the best quality. You can not (usually) buy this Sandisk class 4 on newegg, but they sell at Verizon, ATT, etc cell phone stores for outrageous prices. Surely this is because customers will return their phone if it fails.

My Lexar 32gb class 10 from amazon works just fine in both my EVO and my TF. And it really is 32gb. There is some question as to if it really is class 10, but I know its faster than a class 4. Even with 21gb on my card, pictures and videos load really fast.
