Every time I turn on Fonepad, it ask me to draw the pattern. I have app lock on apps that I don't want anyone to open. I don't really need the security lock. Anyone knows how to disable this feature?
No, that's additional security to make sure you're the owner who wants to change the security. Go ahead and confirm the pattern, then choose a new option for screen lock (in your case, "none").
Thanks, Silly me. However, after I confirm the pattern, I am only able to select pattern, pin and password. The top 3 None, slide and face unlock was darkened. It says it's disable by administrator, encryption policy or credential storage. I am still not able to select None.
Did you encrypt the tablet at any point? Was the tablet brand new when you bought it, or did you get it used? If the latter, then perhaps the previous owner encrypted it.
Well, I'm starting to grasp at straws. Maybe go to Settings/Security/Device administrators, and see what apps have administrator privileges, and what they might be doing with it. For example, you can find an option for the new Android Device Manager here, and checking the box will "Allow Android Device Manager to lock or erase a lost device."
