Right side of digitizer not working.

Title explains all. I think these dogs did it and I'm far beyond angry. The right side has a spot that doesn't respond at all. There is no physical damage, no cracks, scratches, etc. Already rebooted, cold booted, etc.

Suddenly, that area started working. Can anyone tell me why it could have possibly happened in the first place?

I think there was a batch of nexus 7s with similar problems. For them it was while using multiple intensive apps at once.
