It passed the FCC, so we should see an announcement of release date soon. Asus has a product page for it too, meaning they still want everyone to be excited about it.

Edit: tomorrow is the day Asus is announcing release dates for probably more than the infinity

Pcmag is saying either the end of the month of June or first of July. It's almost here!

I think they're planning on announcing the infinity and something completely new. There's been hints of windows 8 and Android

So, we know the unofficial dates from Asus are around the week of July 16 (http://www.androidcentral.com/asus-transformer-pad-infinity-expected-mid-july-starting-499),

Though, could this be due to Jelly Bean being released mid July? :-D

perhaps they want to release the tablet with JB, instead of releasing it and having users update a week or so later etc?

http://www.androidcentral.com/android-41-jelly-bean-coming-mid-july

that would be awesome to already have JB on that beautiful display! :-D

(pssss Asus, I'll take it without JB too!)

Would they have had enough time with jb to make sure it is working?

the new Google 7" tab just released is also made by Asus.
Therefore, Asus did have JB for some past months. However, does this solidify the claim - I can't say, we'll just have to wait and see.

Very good point, I guess I didn't look at the nexus tab spec enough or I over looked it.

I don't think that Asus would leave their flagship in the dark with software updates. I'm sure even the prime will get jelly bean eventually, maybe even the OG transformer.
But the fact that they worked with Google means that they are familiar with the new OS and will be able to make their products better with less time getting familiar with the new code

For those that can't wait looks like Office Depot is taking orders. Looks like only color is gray. Enjoy.

I don't like their return policy....but if you can't wait, go for it.
And I think they're still shooting for next week, starting monday. I'm hoping to hold me one in store at Best Buy or something, as I'm not at home and I don't want to have to order it online.

Say you or I get a defective unit, what would be different between returning it to office Depot as opposed to best buy or staples etc?
Was it a bad experience you had with them or is there policy unfavorable.
I don't want it to sound as if I work for office Depot defending it, I'm really only asking as I really want to get this tablet, though don't want to get screwed in the event I do have to return/exchange it. All I do at staples, office Depot, officemax etc is buy office/project supplies.

My suggestion? Order it from Newegg, they posted it today. I just don't like that I can't return it if I don't like it, or decide on getting something different.

Hehe, I see what you're doing here.. And now I have another option :-)

If I could have, I would've gotten it from Newegg. The times I've dealt with them before have been great. But I want to pick it up at a retail store...so Best Buy is pretty much my only option right now. I haven't heard anything about them, other than that they took down the Prime from their website.
